Replacement of the air heater on a Boilermech boiler with a capacity of 40 tons per hour
Category:
BOILER
Location:
RIAU
The air preheater at Boilermech, with a capacity of 40 TPH, suffered internal corrosion due to exposure to high temperatures and long-term operational conditions. This damage caused a drop in the temperature of the combustion air entering the boiler, thereby reducing combustion efficiency, increasing fuel consumption, and impacting the overall performance of the boiler system.
Carry out the replacement of the preheater and ensure that the entire installation and commissioning process is completed during the scheduled shutdown period. The work must be performed in accordance with safety and quality standards to ensure that the new unit operates optimally once the boiler is back in service.
Our team dismantled the old air preheater, made the necessary modifications to the support structure, and then installed the new air preheater unit in accordance with the design specifications. Once installation was complete, a comprehensive commissioning process was carried out, which included functional testing, operational adjustments, and on-site performance verification.
The replacement and commissioning of the air preheater were successfully completed in accordance with the scheduled shutdown. The combustion air temperature has returned to design specifications, combustion efficiency has improved, and fuel consumption has been reduced, thereby supporting more economical and reliable boiler operations.
