The Mechmar fire-tube boiler, with a capacity of 2.5 TPH, has been in operation for over 20 years and is currently inactive; it requires comprehensive repairs before it can be put back into service. The age of the equipment and the worn condition of its components necessitate a refurbishment process and a thorough inspection to ensure safety and operational reliability.
Carry out a refurbishment and re-commissioning program and obtain recertification from the Ministry of Manpower so that the boiler can resume safe operation. The work must include inspecting the condition of the equipment, repairing damaged components, and ensuring compliance with all applicable safety requirements and regulations.
Our team conducted a thorough inspection of the boiler’s pressure components and performed repairs on areas requiring corrective action. In addition, we renewed the refractory lining, replaced all safety devices and control systems, and conducted comprehensive functional testing to ensure that the entire system operates in accordance with standards before handing it over to the user.
The refurbishment and re-commissioning program was successfully completed, enabling the boiler to resume safe and reliable operation. After undergoing the required inspection and testing procedures, the boiler received recertification from the Ministry of Manpower, indicating that the unit meets safety standards and is ready to be put back into service to support operational needs.
