The Takuma N1500 boiler, with a capacity of 52 TPH, required a complete pipe replacement and refractory rebuild after years of operating at high loads. These conditions led to a decline in the boiler’s reliability and efficiency, necessitating a comprehensive overhaul to restore the unit’s performance in accordance with design specifications and the plant’s operational requirements.

Carry out retubing and refractory rebuild work in a single mobilization during the scheduled shutdown period. The goal is to maximize the shutdown period, minimize disruption to plant operations, and ensure that all work is completed to high quality and safety standards.

Our team of certified welders replaced all boiler pipes in accordance with applicable procedures, performing non-destructive testing (NDT) on every joint to ensure the quality of the welds. At the same time, the refractory team rebuilt all the brickwork and restored the combustion chamber’s geometry to its original design to ensure optimal heat distribution and combustion.

All work was successfully completed in accordance with the established shutdown schedule. The boiler has returned to its design steam production capacity, thermal efficiency has been restored, and it has been recertified in accordance with applicable requirements. The results of this project have improved the boiler’s operational reliability and supported the smooth operation of the plant’s production processes.
