The draft control system in the plant’s boilers is experiencing instability, which is causing a decline in combustion efficiency and frequent alarms during changes in operating load. This situation results in inconsistent furnace pressure and disrupts the overall stability of boiler operations.

Upgrade the draft control system using Yokogawa PLC hardware to achieve furnace pressure stability. The system must be capable of maintaining combustion stability, reducing alarm incidents, and improving boiler operational efficiency under various load conditions.

Our team designed and implemented a new control loop using Yokogawa PLC hardware, including the configuration of control logic and parameter tuning to maintain furnace pressure stability. The system was also integrated with improved alarm management, followed by commissioning and operator training to ensure a smooth system transition.

The draft control system has been successfully upgraded, resulting in improved furnace pressure stability. Combustion efficiency has increased, the number of operational alarms has decreased significantly, and overall boiler performance has become more stable under various operating load conditions.
